Billing
Home Body Counseling requires that all clients keep a credit card on file and sign a consent for automatic billing, so that therapy is not disrupted to take care of finances. This card is stored on our secure Electronic Health Record System, SimplePractice. Your card will be charged within 24 hours following your appointment (or missed appointment).
Reduced Fee/Sliding Scale Option
I believe that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the sole factor in determining whether or not you are able to access therapeutic services. If accessing services is a hardship, use of a reduced fee/sliding scale agreement may be an option.

As a solo practitioner and small business owner I am only able to hold a limited number of positions for sliding fee clients. A cost per session is determined through a collaborative conversation and a reduced fee/sliding scale agreement will be signed. If you are interested in accessing services using the reduced fee, I request your active participation in considering how much you are able to pay, and have included the graphic below to help guide that consideration.
No Surprises Act (2022)
The No Surprises Act established new protections and disclosure requirements to protect consumers against surprise medical billing. This Act took effect on January 1, 2022. The new law requires healthcare providers and facilities to provide Good Faith Estimates to uninsured, out-of-network, or self-paying clients for services offered when scheduling care or when the client requests an estimate. If you are an uninsured, out-of-network, or self-paying client, Home Body Counseling, LLC will provide you with a written Good Faith Estimate document and will orally review this document with you.
